Services
Trauma recovery
When traumatic or very negative events occur, information processing in the brain may be interrupted or incomplete. Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy targets these “unprocessed” parts of the traumatic memory and re-processes them until the problem is resolved and no longer causing significant distress.
Adult mental health
Counseling provides a safe and secure place where concerns and problems are discussed freely. Treatment is collaborative, relational, and ethical.
Therapy for therapists
As healers, it is especially important that we are doing our own therapeutic work. Whether you’re facing your own concerns or experiencing vicarious distress, you deserve a safe and supportive space.
Gender & SExuality
Despite its social prevalence, sex, sexuality, and gender are still often difficult constructs to talk about, especially when these are causing personal or relational distress. Counseling seeks to offer a safe and non-judgmental place to address those questions and concerns.
Supervision, Consultation, & Training
I provide highly interactive and supportive learning experiences through supervision, consultation, and training that improve the quality and effectiveness of client care, increase clinical conceptualization and skills, and foster personal and professional growth.
Ketamine-Assisted psychotherapy
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) applies the medicine Ketamine within the context of psychotherapy. The intention of utilizing Ketamine in psychotherapy is to promote an altered state of mind with lowered negative psychological defenses that allow for more efficient healing than traditional talk therapy.
Background
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and approved clinical supervisor (ACS) in downtown Boise. As a counselor, I provide authentic, compassionate, and ethical support for adults. As a supervisor, I guide emerging professionals in becoming self-aware and ethically-competent helpers.
I bring specialized training in Eye-movement desensitization/reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for adults and Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) for relationships. I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist and Approved Consultant. I have additional training and experience working with LGBTQIAP+ clients. I believe in the transforming power of emotion and secure attachment for facilitating the processes of change, development, and healing. In whatever context, I am strongly committed to empowering and supporting others to know themselves more fully, to have relationships with deeper intimacy, and to know the richness and beauty of life in all its abundance.
